From London, Thames Valley and South East

Come West along the M4 until Junction 15 which is Swindon and Marlborough.

Follow the A419 towards Cirencester. After about 15 miles leave the dual carriageway to the left at Spine Road Junction. This will be signed for Keynes Park Lakes, South Cerney and Ashton Keynes.

After about 3/4 mile, at the end of the lake, turn right for South Cerney, into Station Road.

After 3/4 of a mile the road takes a slow double bend and you enter the village of South Cerney. In the centre of the village is an old cross on a grass triangle. Turn right here into Clarks Hay.

After 100 yards you will see the Eliot Arms Hotel on your left and the Old George Inn on your right. Only 20 yards more and you cross the river bridge and see on your right Church Lane.

Turn as if to go down Church Lane but stop there as you are looking at Atkyns Manor on the left corner of the lane.

From Bristol, South Wales, Exeter and South West

Come North along the M5 until Junction 11a which is the next junction after Junction 12.

Follow the A417 to Cirencester. As you approach Cirencester you pass the Quarry Junction, then leave at the next, marked Burford Road Junction.

Once off the dual carriageway go round the roundabout to the right. Cross the dual carriageway and straight over the next roundabout heading for Cirencester on the A429. (Beware 40mph and 30mph speed limits. Police are rather hot)

After half a mile, at next roundabout turn left onto the A419 for Swindon.

Straight over the next roundabout on the A419 for Swindon and follow for a quarter of a mile before turning right across the dual carriageway signposted South Cerney.

Follow for two miles into the village of South Cerney.
Round a double bend and then 100 yards further on, just before the bridge over the river you will see on your left Church Lane. Turn as if to go down Church Lane but stop there as you are looking at Atkyns Manor on the left corner of the lane.
